NEWS RELEASE: State Representative Will Morgan and Retired FBI Agent Coleen Rowley Endorse Dan Powers
(Burnsville, MN) State Representative Will Morgan (DFL-40A) announced his support for Dan Powers congressional bid in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District. Representative Morgan’s endorsement continues a strong trend of support for Dan among community leaders in Minnesota’s second district.
“Dan has been working diligently throughout the community with activists and community groups engaging them in the issues that matter in the Second District; jobs, the economy, transportation, and healthcare, said Representative Morgan. I have known Dan for quite some time, he fits the district and he knows that people have gone far too long without a voice from the community in Washington DC.” He is the best candidate to represent us in Washington and I proudly stand with him.”
Coleen Rowley, former Candidate for Congress in the Second District and a retired FBI agent with a storied career also endorsed Dan Powers.
“Imagine what it would be like to have a Congressman who actually represented the people of Minnesota’s Second District instead of his party’s interests. My hat is off to Dan Powers who not only has the imagination and ability to actually lead, but also has the courage to challenge Republican Corporatist John Kline. Let’s elect Dan Powers, someone who will represent all the people of Minnesota’s Second Congressional District and not just the corporate tycoons!”
Dan Powers has lived in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District for 27 years and is a contractor, small business owner, father and grandfather. Dan has faced the challenges of a broken healthcare system first-hand while recovering from a broken back caused by a fall off a roof at a worksite. Dan is a Main Street Democrat, not a Wall Street Democrat, who believes that our residents and local communities need a strong independent voice in Washington to represent their interests.
